MICHAEL PINFOLD
BRANDING DESIGN
PROCESS
I prioritize collaboration, communication, and attention to detail to ensure the success of your project. From our initial consultation to final delivery, I'll work closely with you to fully understand your vision and goals. My process includes in-depth brand conversations, competitor research and multiple rounds of concepts and revisions,.
1 / Getting Started
Simply fill out the form on my contact page and let's connect! I'll reach out to schedule a brief call where we can chat about your project and the challenge you're trying to overcome. Once we've had a chance to chat and determine the best design package for your needs, I'll put together a proposal and send it your way. Don't worry, it will be easy to understand and I'm happy to answer any questions you may have!
2 / Brand Definition Session
To get started on your project, I like to have a thorough chat with you (and any other key players) about your brand history, goals, target audience, and competition. We'll dive deep into what makes your brand unique and who it needs to appeal to. I want to make sure I truly understand your vision so that I can deliver a product that exceeds your expectations. In addition, we'll take some time to explore your company's personality using some quick exercises. These exercises are designed to draw out even more of your distinctiveness and ensure that we avoid anything generic. I want to capture the essence of your brand and create something that truly stands out.
3 / Design Preparation & Concepts
Before we get started on your brand design, I like to do some preparation. If you have any existing branding materials or your competitors' branding, I'll take a look to see where you stand and where you can differentiate yourself. Then, based on the insights from the Brand Definition Session, I'll put together a few different boards to test image styles, words and phrases, typography, and more.
Once we've chosen the best direction, I'll create a visual theme for your brand. Instead of working on individual elements like logos, colors, and fonts separately, I find it's best to combine them in sample layouts so we can get a feel for the brand as a whole. We'll evaluate how everything comes together and tweak anything that doesn't quite fit. Typically, there may be a couple of different logo options, and we'll work together to choose the one that fits best with the overall look and feel.
When it's time to present the concepts, we'll jump on a screen-sharing call where I'll explain the research and reasoning behind all of the decisions.
4 / Refinement
Thanks to the strong foundation we've built for your project, our proposed solutions are typically spot-on. However, you're the expert on your brand, and I want to make sure you're completely happy with the end result. So, bring along your feedback and suggestions, we'll make some tweaks to ensure that your brand is truly where you want it to be.
5 / Launch
Once you've given final approval, we'll move on to the exciting launch phase! This is where I'll deliver all of the final files to you, including the source files.
